    (a) 30 logged dives (b) PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent (c) PADI Enriched Air Diver or equivalent with at least 10 dives on enriched air, deeper than 18 metres/60 feet (d) PADI Deep Diver or equivalent with at least 10 dives to 30metres/ 100 feet

The Tec Deep Diver Course is a combination of the Tec 40, Tec 45 and Tec 50 Courses taught in sequence and facilitates a smooth transition from being a beginner to a competent technical diver. You learn to make multi-stop decompression dives to a maximum depth of 50 metres/165 feet using enriched air & oxygen for accelerated decompression.

The course adopts a structured approach and places a lot of emphasis on safety, while focusing on developing advanced skills. It challenges recreational divers to expand the boundaries of their training to boost their confidence, while instilling a deep sense of responsibility & safety.

 

At SEI, technical diving courses are taught using a mix of classroom presentations, theory discussions, & in-water training, leading up to open water dives.

Conducted over a period of approximately 2 weeks, the Tec Deep Diver course comprises a minimum of –

  • 2 days of classroom sessions
  • 3 days of pool trainings 
  • 12 open water dives conducted of over 6 days at least

Classroom sessions and pool trainings are conducted from 8.30am-5pm while dive days start at 7am and get over around 3pm.

Once a course is booked, we assign e-learning materials at the earliest to help you complete theory sections at your pace & convenience, prior to arrival at the dive centre. This is highly recommended as it also allows us to allocate more time for in-water training.

Your understanding of decompression theory & diving safety is paramount for this course.

Technical courses are performance-based & not time-based. This means, the duration of the course depends on the time it takes you for to master skills & additional training days may be required, if necessary.

 

  • The course can be conducted in standard recreational equipment or on sidemount.
  • The participant should be a certified sidemount diver with at least 10 sidemount dives or incorporate the Sidemount Diver Course alongside.
  • Enriched Air & Deep Diver Courses can also be conducted prior to the Tec 40 course over two additional days. 
  • It is strongly recommended that no flights be undertaken for at least 24 hours after the last dive
  • We do not provide accommodation, pick-up & drop services either from hotel or dive centre. However, we can assist in all bookings for the same, through our partner companies.
